In St. Petersburg they detained a picketer who called for the withdrawal of troops from Kazakhstan

In St. Petersburg, a local resident Alexei Khrenov was detained, who held a single picket on Sennaya Square against the entry of Russian troops into Kazakhstan. This was announced by his acquaintance about this.

The young man spent his single picket in the afternoon on Sennaya Square, during which police officers approached him for a conversation. At that moment he was not detained, but after a few hours the police came to his house and said that another conversation had to be held with him.

In the police department No. 2, instead of conversations, they began to draw up a protocol on it, but according to which article it was still unknown.

In Moscow on January 5 , 6 and 7 , single pickets were also held in connection with protests in Kazakhstan. For three days in the capital, at least 27 people were detained.

• Since January 2, Kazakhstan has been protests against corruption and for the change of leadership of the country. The reason was the increase in gas prices. The Government of Kazakhstan resigned. On January 5, the authorities announced a state of emergency throughout the country.
• The President of Kazakhstan appealed to the countries of the organization of collective security agreement with a request to introduce troops to suppress the riots. The countries included in the CSTO (in particular Russia) sent the military to Kazakhstan on January 6.
