The SBU announced the capture of a “Russian military intelligence agent” who was planning terrorist attacks in the Odessa region

The Security Service of Ukraine announced that it had detained a “Russian military intelligence agent” who was preparing a series of terrorist attacks in the Odessa region.

According to the department, the man was supposed to arrange sabotage to "undermine the socio-political situation." Its curators, according to the SBU, were representatives of the Russian intelligence stationed in Transnistria.

According to the department, the man had already organized the arson of a military vehicle in Odessa and poured paint over the monument to the dead Ukrainians. His next targets were allegedly to be the offices of public organizations of a patriotic direction.

The citizen of which country the detainee is is not specified.

• In early December, the FSB announced the arrest of three Ukrainians, one of whom, according to the department, was planning to commit a terrorist attack in Russia, and two more were allegedly spying on strategic facilities. The SBU called the news a fake, which the FSB organized in an attempt to "avenge" the successes of the Ukrainian security forces.
