The Frunzensky District Court in Ivanovo granted the claim of the person involved in the "palace case" and former policeman Sergei Rimsky about the illegality of the actions of law enforcement officers on the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repressions on October 30. about this Rimsky spoke on his Instagram.
On November 29, 2021, three district police officers came to the man’s house to hand him an official warning about the inadmissibility of holding an event on the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repressions, in preparation for which the ex-policeman took part.
The court declared the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to issue a warning illegal.
Rimsky, the head of the local branch of Yabloko Andrey Avtoneev and Ivanovo activists held a rally on October 30, 2021 and hung out a banner “Freedom to political prisoners”. After that, Avtoneev was detained and taken to the police department. In the department they were going to leave him for 48 hours before the trial, but in the end they released him, demanding to appear for the preparation of the protocol. As a result, protocols were drawn up against Rimsky and Avtoneev under the article on the organization of an uncoordinated action (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
