In Transbaikalia, the family of a patient who died during the pandemic of coronavirus due to non-ordering medical care has achieved compensation. The court ordered doctors to pay 2 million rubles to the wife and son of Valery Kabakov on account of non -pecuniary damage. Lawyer Pavel Chikov wrote in his telegram that the regional court of the region rejected the appeal of the representative of the Borzinsky Central District Hospital and now the institution must execute the decision of the court of first instance.
According to the case materials, in April 2020, relatives called an ambulance Valery Kabakov, who was tormented by severe pain in the heart. However, in the village of Sherlovaya Mountain, the number of 13 thousand people, there were only two ambulances. One went to somatic patients, it was this category that included the deceased, and the second - only to patients with SARS and coronavirus. At the same time, the first brigade that day was on the road in the city of Borze, 30 kilometers from the village, and the second at that moment was in the territory of the local hospital, which was next to the Kabakov house. But due to the separation of brigades, the patient had to wait for doctors for more than 45 minutes. When the doctors arrived, they did not have a defibrillator and oxygen with them. Kabakov died at home from a heart attack.
A service check conducted by the regional Ministry of Health did not find violations in the actions of doctors. At the same time, the insurance company, which conducted its examination, considered that the cause of the patient’s death was the lack of hospitalization in a specialized hospital. The local hospital the very next day after the death of Kabakov launched an additional specialized ambulance team. The doctors themselves said Siberia. Realities that the main reason for the often fatal delays in the "ambulance" is a shortage of personnel.
