Rosstat's final assessment of inflation in Russia in 2021 coincided with the preliminary one - 8.39%, follows from new data from the statistical office. Annual inflation was last higher in 2015 at 12.9%. Already in 2016, it decreased to 5.4%.
Products over the past year have risen in price by 10.62%, services by almost 5% (4.98%).
In the first 10 days of 2022, prices have already increased by 0.56%. This is noticeably more than in the same period of 2021 (0.40%). Inflation remained predominantly food and fruit and vegetable: prices for tomatoes and cucumbers rose at a faster pace (almost 7%).
