Cheboksary authorities refused to hold a protest against the creation of municipal districts and QR codes

The administration of Cheboksary refused to approve a rally against the creation of municipal districts and the introduction of QR codes. This is reported by the publication "Idel.Realii".

When justifying the refusal, the mayor's office referred to "coronavirus" restrictions. The application for the event was submitted by the deputy of the State Council and the first secretary of the branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in Chuvashia Alexei Andreev.

The politician believes that the municipal reform being carried out by the authorities actually has a hidden purpose: it will help officials return to the topic of transferring land to a Chinese investor, which is opposed by many local residents.

“If earlier rural deputies voted against the transfer of land to the Chinese, now no one will ask their opinion. In order to “push the issue” with the municipal reform, the authorities gather state employees at hearings who vote as everyone needs, and those who come even after work to express their position are not allowed into the premises, the hall is busy and there is a pandemic, ”commented Alexey Andreev .

Supporter of the Communist Party intends to appeal the decision of the administration in court.
