Cell operators will raise the cost of archival tariffs

The mobile operators "Vimpelcom", "Megafon" and Tele2 will raise the cost of archival tariffs, writes Kommersant with reference to sources in the communication market.

The press service of Vimpelcom was explained that this would happen in the near future. The company promised that users would be warned about changes, they will be given the opportunity to choose additional bonuses or change the tariff.

In February, prices will also increase Megaphone, and then Tele2. Representatives of companies refused to comment on this information.

In early January, another largest mobile operator of MTS already announced an increase in the cost of tariffs by 60 rubles. This was explained by the increase in the cost of the maintenance and construction of networks, the increase in electricity prices and the services of external contractors, as well as the need to store user data provided for by the Yarovaya Law.

• A package of amendments to the Constitution, called in the press by one of the authors of the project Irina Yarova, was adopted in the summer of 2016 as a method of combating terrorism. The law obliges mobile operators to store correspondence, phone calls and the outgoing traffic of all Russian users, as well as provide these data at the request of special services.
