For the first time, more than 60 thousand infections of Covid per day were identified in Russia

As of the morning of January 23, 63 205 new cases of coronavirus infection were identified in Russia, the Federal Operational Headquarters for Combating the virus reports.

This is a new maximum from the beginning of the pandemic. The previous record was set the day before - then 57,222 new cases of Covid were revealed.

The total number of cases reached 11 108 191 people.

In Moscow, which remains the leader in the number of infections, recorded 17,528 COVID-19 cases per day were identified.

Over the past day, 679 people died from the disease, and 326,112 people from the beginning of the pandemic.

10,023,622 people recovered, including 23,045 patients were discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
