"The camera is temporarily inaccessible." A report on the conflict on the Belarusian-Polish border, which was shot without a camera, resolution for shooting and accreditation

In Belarus, I worked as a reporting photographer until 2020, collaborated with independent media. During the shooting in protests after the elections in 2020, a rubber bullet from the security forces fell into me. I submitted an application to the Investigative Committee, later I was searched at my house. From the victim, I witnessed the criminal article on the riots. This is no exception, but the rule in Belarus. Many victims became witnesses, then the accused, and later received real criminal terms. So I moved to Poland.

During 2020, most employees of the Belarusian media went abroad. The state blocked sites, declared media extremist, journalists received real criminal terms. At the moment, 32 Belarusian journalists are imprisoned, and the media work from abroad, remotely illuminating events in the country.
