Today is September 27, 2050. We are on the flight for 101 days. For the porthole autumn. And storm. My favorite weather ... Going to the deck is now dangerous, but I am often risk, because I can’t deny myself the pleasure of feeling gusts of wind and spray of the ice sea in the face.

I returned to the cabin. How good it is - warm, comfortable ... Everything is so old - this is an oak table, here is a simple chair. A paper calendar is located on the wall, above the window (how many years I can’t get rid of the habit of calling the windows of windows) there is a poster with the famous four -masted Sedov bar. Light bulbs are screwed under the ceiling, giving soft light. Probably, in such cabins, the famous travelers of the late XIX-early XX centuries lived and lived.

Even the diary I took with me - and I write in it in the old fashioned way, an ordinary pen and ordinary ink. At such a time of year and in such a place I would like to quickly forget about all computers, ultra and nan-boots, virtual reality and other attributes of a resident of the 21st century.

I wonder how the mainland is? What has managed to change in the last three months? In recent years, Russia has been developing so rapidly that not everyone has time to adapt ... I’m definitely not having time. It is good that there is an opportunity to wait for changes on the ship, far from the bustle of the city. It is bad that when you return to the mainland, the world around each time is some kind of ... not quite the same as it was three or four months ago.

Even 30 years ago, our country did not rush into the future at such a speed. If someone in 2021 told me how many things will change in the next few decades, I honestly would not believe in my life. However ... However, the world has changed. And he continues to change at a frantic pace. In the meantime, I would like to talk to you, my dear reader, about those changes in our country that I managed to feel for my 54 years.

1. Climate

Remember, reader, how in the 2020s scientists began to sound the alarm? What, they say, “the glaciers melt and replenish the Jordan”? And even then we treated it so calmly - well, melt and melt. We could not even think how rapidly the temperature would begin to grow in the next 30 years. Fortunately, back in 2021, the government developed a plan for responding to climatic changes, and with each subsequent year it was supplemented and adjusted.

Of course, first of all, the plan concerned the zone of many years of permafrost, its depth and distribution area due to global warming began to decline sharply. In 2030, one of the scientists proposed the concept of ice cities (in my opinion, this comrade was a great fan of Stephen King), covered on top with huge isothermal domes that support the historically developed temperature regime. In addition to such a fantastic technology, another group-group developed a new substance-a “cold” cement that was able to maintain negative temperatures for a long time. Injections from such cement were to be administered along the entire area of ​​the “bribery” zone and outside it at a distance of several kilometers to maintain the “eternity” of permafrost.

Three years later, the first dome project was developed. Five years later, in 2038 , the construction of several such domes was completed - in Norilsk, Vorkut, Magadan. Three years later, the efficiency of technology was proved, and such domes began to deploy in all large cities located in the area of ​​the spread of perennial soils.

Just imagine - ice and cold oases in the flowering plains of Siberia ... After all, since 2040, warming in Siberia began to be noticed not only by scientists. In some couple of decades (literally before my eyes), this desert land began to turn into a very pleasant place for life and rest.

And what was happening in the south of Russia at this time?

Climate changes affected him. The reserves of the underground waters of the Kuban and Crimea began to significantly decrease in volume and did not give drinking water. In this regard, the federal program for large -scale defections of sea water from the Black Sea was introduced. The prototype of the project was Dubai's gear experience. In the Rostov region and the Stavropol Territory, air humidifiers were invented for agricultural work, many fields were equipped with water steam condenser - thanks to these measures, it was possible not to reduce momentum in the production of grain crops, and the consequences of climatic changes in these regions were somewhat softened.

In the 20s, a story about the Siberian taiga given to China, who was cut down under the root, was very sensational. It came out ironically with her - the Chinese themselves cut it out, and then they themselves began to plant. And why? Because due to the cut down the cut, dusty storms in northern China were activated. There were no more trees covering the soil from erosion, so the wind could absolutely unhindered the dust from huge areas and carry all this towards the country. Residents panicked and not only began to actively plant the taiga back (and at their own expense!), They also managed to come up with some fertilizer in a couple of years that accelerated the growth of conifers about five times.

Today, the Russian taiga is gradually regaining the selected territories. And the Chinese rejoice - the number of dust storms has declined.

2. Minerals

The crisis predicted by scientists in the mineral and raw sector of Russia covered us in the 30s . All the deposits started back in the Soviet Union were practically developed. The new open ones could not cope with the established rates of development, but required significant injections of funds. Technologies in the field of mineral extraction did not develop as rapidly as we would like.

Against the backdrop of a crisis in metallurgical and oil and oil industries, scientists return to Fusarium Oxysporum mushrooms abandoned in the 20s , capable of extracting gold from the Earth and accumulating it within themselves thanks to a developed mushrooms. Initially, the idea of ​​mushrooms was considered only in relation to the deposits of the zone of hypergenesis (weathering bark). But after the start of active genetic studies and experiments, scientists found that the mushroom mushroom penetration can be increased from several meters to hundreds, which significantly expanded the field of activity.

After ten years of research, experiments and economic calculations, the world community agreed that these mushrooms are the salvation of the entire gold mining industry and a promising way to extract rare earth and radioactive elements. 3. Science and education

Scientific and Technical Party. In connection with the need to quickly adapt to global changes, especially in the field of ecology and in the technological segment, the Russian government in the early 30s proposed creating a new party uniting scientists from the advanced areas of science. She began to be called-the Scientific and Technical Party (NTP). I took this news as a thunder among the clear sky. This is now I understand that all these ideas are part of one large plan for the transformation of Russia into a new state that goes on a flush over time. But then the whole scientific community looked at the government with suspicion: it would have been tight for so many years with the support of science in the country, and here you are an official recognition of the state that science is important, and moreover, they will share a piece of government with it and offer it the opportunity to really influence the situation in the country.

And the argument of this innovation was as follows: Russia needs to learn to quickly introduce scientific developments into reality, and for this it is necessary that scientists can report their ideas directly to the Duma, bypassing the entire historically established colossal bureaucratic apparatus. In addition to this, the state hopes that thanks to the new party, representatives of various fields of knowledge will have much more opportunities to engage in joint projects and supplement each other's ideas. “Science - in the name of progress and prosperity” - this was the official motto of the NTP.

An online service was even invented, which allowed anyone to write the most crazy idea and send a request to the party. A special commission considered them, and if the idea was rational and economically profitable, then the specialists developed a plan for its implementation, and a person was paid a bonus and entered it into a patent (or invited to take part in further development if the author owned the necessary knowledge).

That is how the crazy idea of ​​an isothermal dome over cities in the permafrost zone appeared. Surprisingly, right?

Education. Simultaneously with the advent of the NTP in Russia, the approach to scientific and technical education began to be seriously reviewed. The last 20 years in our society, the idea has become actively introducing that being an engineer is very cool and even prestigious than an ITSHNIK. The salaries of engineers have become comparable to the salaries of programmers and testers for. People began to actively choose engineering areas, the country's scientific and technical personnel reserve began to be actively replenished. New Akademgorodoks arose in Sakhalin, in Yakutia, on Chukotka - analogues of Silicon Valley in the USA and Skolkov in Moscow. The direction of robotics and automation of control systems has become very fashionable - with the advent of new technologies, a lot of branches appeared in these areas for absolutely any type of business.

By the way, since we started talking about Chukotka ... How much did you hear about her, reader, in 2021 ? And now - now the whole world speaks of her. Still, the first region that introduced mushroom gold mining plantations! It was here that a new science was born - microbiology, connecting geology and biology among themselves. It is here that the world's largest microbiogeological scientific center is located, which studies the adaptation of mushrooms of the type of Fusarium Oxysporum to various biological, geological and hydrogeological conditions. And it is here that the center of genetics and bioenginery of mushrooms in Europe is located. There are rumors that they are doing things that are truly striking in it-they grow mushrooms the size of three-story houses and even put experiments on the “mushroom Internet”, trying to find possible communication channels with these non-growing undergrowths.

4. Health and demography

The demographic situation in the country was getting worse and worse every year. The trends in reducing the population remained, and no stimulating payments to both young parents and pensioners helped at all. And here, somewhere around the early 30s , the government decided on the original move. One of the secret microbiological laboratories in cooperation with a no less secret laboratory of human genetics was instructed to develop a substance capable of extending the life cycle of the human body. As it turned out, these works were very well financed, apparently, so the result was not long in coming. Three years after the start of the project, the public spoke of a new “miracle vaccine”, capable of rejuvenating the body and prolonging youth. Then only rumors were still walking and volunteers were actively looking, ready at their own peril and risk of testing this tool.

"What is the benefit of the country to rejuvenate its population for free?" - You ask. In fact, everything turned out to be very simple, but we did not think of it right away. With the help of this vaccine, the “young apple”, two hares were killed at once: the first was called “taxes”, and the second - “reduction in mortality among the able -bodied population” (in principle, the second hare was close to the first). According to research by scientists conducted in 2024 , the average life expectancy in Russia will be equal to the European by about 2060 . And this means that the number of disabled population (that is, pensioners) will begin to grow gradually, and the number of newborns will gradually decrease every year. Economists considered that the country's budget would not withstand such a serious burden on the social sphere.

In this regard, the operational group of scientists was very quickly organized, who, after several years, were able to develop an innovative medicine selectively acting on cells and at the genetic level programming them in a certain period of life to exist longer. Five years ( until 2040 ), this substance was tested on volunteers, and by the end of 2045 the first large -scale campaign for the vaccination of the new “Youngepple” ended, as the Russians jokingly called it. I vaccinated in 2046 , at the beginning of the second campaign, and now, four years later, I already see serious results. My body in its 54 feels at 35, and my body looks the same. I will now retire not earlier than 80, and honestly - I do not want to go there. They say that the average life expectancy (provided that revaccination is undergoing once a year) will increase to 100-120 years (depending on individual adaptation to the components of the vaccine). Which invention can be more wonderful?

5. Construction

How much pain and indignation brought Russia to the atrocities of developers in the first two decades of the 21st century ... All of you probably remember the ghetto at the end stations of the metro and at bus stops in large cities. One-faced, depressing, crushing and choke-dimens, taking away the last shreds of the sky-such were residential quarters. Yes, why were they-they, in general , did not disappear anywhere, but, fortunately, by the middle of the century they finally began to build normally.

Developers desperately tried to convince us that it was better to be one of the 17th floor somewhere on Parnassus or in Lublin overlooking a naked neighbor. And by the way, they did it well. However, with the advent of new transport technologies and the replacement of electric trains with Magleva, the problem of transport accessibility of the center of cities began to subside. Huge distances began to overcome in a matter of minutes, and therefore the demand for the "humanity" fell sharply. People realized that they could live much more environmentally friendly, away from the dust and noise of the center, but at the same time get to it in 10-20 minutes . What is the point of huddling the whole family in a kovoshka somewhere on the outskirts of Moscow, if you can buy a whole huge two-story house on the lake in the forest and after half an hour to work in the center?

Half of the developers went bankrupt, and the other ... The other abruptly realized that high -rise buildings are now not fashionable. New areas from low -rise and cottage development began to appear across the country. In fashion now - individuality and environmental friendliness. It suddenly turned out that all thousands of hectares of land in Siberia are very necessary and valuable - new prototypes of future cities, connected by a single high -speed transport network, began to appear there. Russia finally realized the charm of being in the first place in the world ranking in terms of the number of square kilometers.

6. Politics

Dear reader, you probably remember how the situation was heated in the world in the early 2020s , after the Covid -19 epidemic? I think that the year 2029, when the world was on the verge of the Third War between the West and the East, you also remember well. Then everyone was scared. It would seem that there is a wonderful teacher - a story whose lessons are obtained at the cost of millions of lives. However, we, people, are forgotten ...

I am not a politician and will not delve into the intricacies of international relations. But I want to say that that year has become a turning point for the whole world. People realized that the level of progress in the field of military industry they reached by 2030 is incompatible with peaceful life. Immediately in three countries (Russia, China and America), scientific developments of a device that could block electromagnetic radiation within a wide radius of action (up to several tens of kilometers) started. This device nullified the effectiveness of any devices operating on the principles of electromagnetism. It has become more difficult to fight (in the end, not to dump the nuclear bomb on the enemy with every small conflict?) And much more costly. The world realized that it was much more profitable to negotiate than provoking conflicts.

No one knows what will happen to the world after another 30. Perhaps representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations will come in touch? Or will we finally “hack” the physical laws of our world and be able to overcome the speed of light in order to pay a visit to them on their own? Or maybe scientists will finally invent a teleport?

I do not know what will happen tomorrow, in a year or in half a century. But I know for sure what we have now.

We have us - people, each of whom is endowed with power to change the world today.
