The Ministry of Justice drew up a protocol against the “Human Rights Group “Citizen.Army.Pravo”” under the article on violation of the procedure for the activities of an NGO - a “foreign agent”. The lawyer of the human rights group “Agora”, Alexander Peredruk, who represents the interests of the association, reported this to Mediazona.
As stated in, the reason for it was that the association did not submit to the registration authority an application for inclusion in the register of “foreign agents” (Part 1 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code). The document also states that the protocol was drawn up without the participation of the director of the Human Rights Group “Citizen.Army.Pravo” Sergei Krivenko.
The Ministry of Justice included the association in the register of “foreign agents” on December 3, 2021.
The “Human Rights Group “Citizen.Army.Pravo”” protects the rights and legitimate interests of conscripts, military personnel, people undergoing alternative service, and their parents. “We talk about how citizens can act based on the legislation of the Russian Federation if their rights in the army and during conscription are violated,” says the website of one of the human rights activists’ projects.
