The coordinator of the Tver “Voice” was fined due to non-labeling on social networks

The Zavolzhsky District Court of Tver fined the coordinator of the local branch of the “Voice” movement, Artem Vazhenkov, for failing to label a post about a foreign agency on social networks. Apology reports this.

Vazhenkov was found guilty under the article on violating the procedure for the activities of a “foreign agent” media (19.34.1 Code of Administrative Offences) and was fined 10 thousand. The interests of the activist were represented by lawyer from Apology, Alexander Aldaev.

The Ministry of Justice included Vazhenkov in the list of media “foreign agents” on September 29, 2021. On the same day, Mediazona, its publisher Pyotr Verzilov and editor-in-chief Sergei Smirnov, Zona Prava, as well as 20 coordinators and members of Golos were included in the register. Currently, there are 111 people and organizations on the register of media “foreign agents”. In addition, on the same day, OVD-Info was added to the register of unregistered public associations performing the function of a foreign agent.

In January,it became known that the reason for Vazhenkov’s inclusion in the register was a transfer from a Nigerian citizen.
