A protocol was drawn up against Artem Vazhenkov, coordinator of the “Voice” movement in Tver, for not labeling information due to an Instagram post without a signature stating that the message was disseminated by a “foreign agent.” He announced this on Facebook.
Vazhenkov posted the photo while in Tbilisi, but the protocol indicated that the place where the offense was committed was the Zavolzhsky district of Tver.
“The post is completely harmless, without politics, about the former boss of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,” Anatoly Sobchak. A monument to him was erected in Tbilisi (Georgia). I posted his photo without inserting a label,” the activist wrote.
At the end of January, Vazhenkov was fined 10 thousand rubles under the article on violating the procedure for the activities of a “foreign agent” media (19.34.1 Code of Administrative Offences) due to not marking the post.
The Ministry of Justice included Vazhenkov in the list of media “foreign agents” on September 29, 2021. On the same day, another 20 coordinators and members of “Voice” were added to the register.
In January,it became known that the reason for Vazhenkov’s inclusion in the register was a transfer from a Nigerian citizen.
