Karelia authorities: They cannot build a school in the village due to the lack of migrants

The new school in the village of Derevyanka in Karelia cannot be built due to bad weather and lack of labor migrants. This follows from the response of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic to the request of the deputy Olga Shmenik.

Even as the reasons for the disruption of the lines of delivery of the object, officials called the shortage of cement, a sharp rise in price of building materials, repair the road to the village and the "unreliability" of the contractor with whom they are going to terminate the contract.

The school in wooden was supposed to be handed over until the end of last year, but the building was ready only by 14 percent. Construction is financed at the expense of the federal budget. The total project cost is about 500 million rubles.

• This is not the first time that the authorities accuse the "third parties" of disrupting the deadlines. Earlier in the Republican Minstoye, they said that the construction of a kindergarten in the Kamenny Bor park in Petrozavodsk is drawn out by the fault of activists who protest against the construction. The kindergarten was supposed to appear in October 2020, but the construction is still not finished.
