The Ministry of Internal Affairs demanded 75 thousand rubles from the ex-head of Navalny’s headquarters in Murmansk for police work

The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Murmansk region demanded 75 thousand rubles from the former head of Navalny’s local headquarters, Violetta Grudina, for police work at the rally on January 23, 2021. Grudina writes about this in her telegram channel.

What exactly was the reason to demand such compensation from the activist is unknown. “For what exactly? For solving operational tasks to protect public order. But they stood stupidly and looked at the crowd of thousands, but should I pay them?” - Grudina argues.

In January, Violetta Grudina announced that she had left Russia. At home, she was charged with violating sanitary and epidemiological rules (Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code); the oppositionistwas under recognizance not to leave. In the fall of 2021, she was put on the wanted list.
