Winners of the Nose Prize were declared

On the year, on February 4, the winners of the 13th season of the Literary Prize "Nos" were chosen in open debates in Moscow.

The holder of the main award “Nose” (new literature) was the novel “Wound” Oksana Vasyakina. The writer received the award statuette - a symbol of the prize and a cash prize of 700,000 rubles.

In addition, the book “Wound” was awarded a prize of the critical community of the Nose Award (200,000 rubles), which includes famous book journalists and critics.

The Wanderer/Nose Prize was awarded to Evgenia Nekrasova for the novel “Leather”, declared the winner following the results of the debate , which took place in late January in Yekaterinburg.

According to the results of the reader voting of the Nose Prize, held among the Long List books on the website of the Livelib book recommendation service, the first place was taken by the novel “Amalgama captives” by Vladimir Shpakov (4057 votes). In second place “Letters to mom. History of the Big City ”Keti Sapovich (3990 votes), on the third -“ Stream ”by Ivan Shipnigov (549 votes). The statuet of the winner of the reader's voting “Nosa” and the cash prize (200 & BNSP000 rubles) was received by the widow of Vladimir Shpakov.

In addition to the works of Oksana Vasyakina and Evgenia Nekrasova , the books “Three characters in search of love and immortality” Olga Medvedkova, “Evil Boy” Valery Pecheikin, “Rif”, “Fistula” Artem Serebryakova, “Taiga Forture” by Andrei Tomilov, “Tygovy Tomilov”, “Tyga Tygay”, “The Tiega Forture” were included in the short list list. Islam Hanipaev, “stream” by Ivan Shipnigov and “Alkin” by Roman Shmarakov.

“Nose” (“New Literature”) is the only literary prize in Russia whose jury discusses its choice publicly. And the short list and then the winner are determined during the series of open debate. Everything is absolutely transparent: anyone can hear why preference is given to one or another work.

The Nose Award was founded by the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation in 2009 with the aim of supporting new trends in modern artistic literature in Russian. Over the years, Vladimir Sorokin, Lev Rubinstein, Andrey Ivanov, Alexey Tsvetkov, Danila Zaitsev, Maria Stepanova and others became the owners of the Nose Award.
