In Palace Square in St. Petersburg, activist Nikita Volkov was detained with the poster of "V.V. Putin to resign!" He told about this "OVD-info" (recognized as "ino-agent").

Volkov was charged with a violation of anti -like restrictions. He was taken to the police department and released after drawing up the protocol. The document for the activist was drawn up under the article of the Administrative Code of St. Petersburg on violation of self -isolation rules. He faces up to five thousand rubles of a fine.

The activist was already convicted under the same article for a similar action in St. Petersburg in October last year.

In the spring of 2020, activists from St. Petersburg filed a lawsuit, challenging the ban on public events, visiting children's and sports grounds, gardens and cemeteries due to anti-icing measures.

Activists indicated in the lawsuit, some of the restrictions violate human rights: under the guise of fighting coronavirus, people were forbidden to express their opinion on single pickets.

The Supreme Court of Russia recognized the ban legitimate in June 2021.
