According to the United States, Russia is going to staging and filtering the attack of the Ukrainian military either on Russian territory or on the civilian population of Donbass. On the fake video, it is supposedly planned to show destruction, dead people, a fake Ukrainian military equipment and Turkish drones that are in service with Ukraine.
The New York Times writes that this video was planned to be distributed in order to create indignation in Russian society and accuse Ukraine of genocide. This would lead to the fact that the leaders of the separatists in the Donbass called on Russia to intervene. The Washington Post reports that the plan of Russian special services is at the final stage, and victims among the civilians can be real. The representative of the State Department said that the United States announced Russian plans to disrupt them.
A group of Russian independent bloggers Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) involved in the investigation of armed conflicts, on the eve of open sources, came to the conclusion that the technique of Russian Rosgvardists is going south and west. On February 4, the founder of CIT Ruslan Leviev said that the equipment and personnel of the National Guard forces have already been located near the border of Ukraine. "Also, on the way to the north -west," Kadyrovites from the Chechen Russian Guard were noticed, "Leviev said.
In January, the investors of CIT discovered more than 30 videos on social networks, which capture the process of loading equipment into railway platforms and trains with it moving west. On the platforms, trucks, carfiders, tanks, infantry combat vehicles, rocket lapsing and hurricane rocket systems are visible.
Earlier, the White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki reported that the United States has information that indicates the preparation of provocations using specially trained operatives to create a preposition for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Washington does not exclude that the Russian operation can begin in February.
The United States has been announcing the concentration of the Russian military among borders with Ukraine since the fall of last year. Western countries are talking about a real threat to the Russian invasion of a neighboring country.
The Ukrainian authorities recognize the presence of a threat, but note that it has existed since 2014. In Kyiv, over the past weeks, they have repeatedly stated that Ukraine does not observe such a concentration of Russian forces that would testify to close invasion.
Moscow has repeatedly denied the invasion plans, accusing the creation of tension in the US and NATO region. Information about the preparation of provocations in the Kremlin was called unfounded. At the same time, Moscow itself claimed that the fighters of a certain American PMC allegedly prepare provocations using chemicals in the Donbass, but evidence was not presented.
