The head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov is one of the main domestic political newsmakers of the last two weeks. On January 20, the Chechen security officials broke into the apartment of the former judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Sayy Yangulbaev in Nizhny Novgorod and forced his wife Zarem Musaev in Grozny. She was arrested two months on suspicion of resistance to law enforcement officials. Lawyers were launched to a woman only on February 4; According to them, "she walks barely."

Ibrahim Yangulbaev-the son of the ex-Sudus-is suspected of involvement in the telegram channel, which criticizes the activities of the leadership of the republic. His brother Abubakar Yangulbaev works as a lawyer in the “Committee against torture” ( declared “foreign agent” in Russia ). On January 21, Kadyrovsaid that the Yangulbaev family “was waiting for either in prison or underground,” he later called them “accomplices of terrorists”.

Kadyrov also called “Novaya Gazeta” journalist Elena Milashin, who writes about the Caucasus, and the head of the “Committee against torture” Igor Kalyapin. He urged to detain them. On the night of February 3, Kadyrov’s press service reported that he had met with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. This news was accompanied by a photograph of five years ago. At the same time, on February 2, the presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that such a meeting was not planned, but the very next day he confirmed that it took place. On the Kremlin’s website, the transcript of the meeting and photography did not appear at the time of publication of the podcast.
