A Volgograd resident was arrested for five days because of a bike ride on the anniversary of the “Freedom for Navalny!” action.

The Central District Court of Volgograd arrested Mikhail Solomonov for five days because of a bike ride on January 31, 2022. This was reported by the press service of the regional court.

The court found the bike activist guilty of organizing a mass movement of citizens, which is not a public event (part 1 of article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). 10 people took part in the action on January 31.

Solomonov was detained on February 7 at the 4th police department, where he came to give explanations about the event. When he demanded from the police that he be summoned to the police department in a legal manner, he was charged with disobedience to a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
