Minister of Economy of the Russian Federation in 1992-1993. Andrey Nechaev on the YouTube channel “Looking for a way out” says :

“In general, despite the huge number of complaints about the Russian elections - and these complaints, unfortunately, are growing and growing - nevertheless, we believe that it is necessary to participate in the elections. And we are participating. We (the Civil Initiative party - Polit.Ru) are not a party that specializes in presidential elections. We are actively participating in local elections and will continue unless some kind of repression against the party begins. <…>.

Therefore, we, in principle, are supporters of active participation in elections, because this is still a struggle in the legal field and, in principle, the party is such a unique institution (or instrument, as you like), the purpose of which is participation in elections, including including coming to power through elections.”
