Petersburg: author "Feckali" on the Marse Field apologized

The artist Ivan Volkov, against whom a criminal case was opened because of the art installation in the form of Feces, apologized to the inhabitants of St. Petersburg. Volkovpublishes a note of Fontanka.

It is specified that Volkov wrote by hand: "I apologize to the Petersburgers for my actions on the Marse Field." “This is caused by repentance. He is an adequate person, understands that this could insult someone, so he decided to publicly apologize,” added Volkov’s lawyer Timofey Evseev.

On January 14, Moscow artist Ivan Volkov painted a snowdrift in the form of feces on the Marse field in brown. The utilities removed the installation the next day, and a couple of days later, the employees of the Center "E" at the Ministry of Internal Affairs removed Volkov and a friend from the train to Moscow. A criminal case was opened against him under an article on abuse of the bodies of the deceased and places of their burial.

According to the police, wolves "deliberately, cynically, immoral, from hooligan motives, neglecting generally accepted rules and norms of behavior established in society, placed an art object from snow in the form of giant feces in a yellow puddle, thus defiled the burial place of the dead." Volkov explained that he did not put a certain meaning into the work.
