The lawyer of the Pen & Paper College Alexei Dobrynin, representing the interests of Valery Solovya, notes that the political scientist and his son Paul went to interrogation voluntarily and answered all the investigator's questions. According to Dobrynin, the nightingale witnessed the criminal case for 2 parts of the article of the Criminal Code of Russia (arousing hatred or hostility by an organized group). He was excited last fall, presumably in relation to unidentified persons. RT , REN-TV and RIA Novosti television channels claim that the criminal case was opened due to the materials of the anonymous telegram channel “General of the SVR”, which supposedly publishes insider information about Russian politics. Valery Solovey conducted direct broadcasts with a certain Viktor Mikhailovich, whom he called the administrator of the channel and former General of the SVR.

RT, with reference to his own sources, wrote that the nightingale is supposedly “is related to publications in the [telegram channel] conspiracy fakes, including the Russian president, various levels of officials and special services.” Alexei Dobrynin could not confirm or refute this information. The defender noted that he had not yet managed to get acquainted with the case so much.

Dobrynina does not surprise such coverage of the defendants, according to him: this is a common practice. But it is too early to make forecasts.

Lecturer, politician and "man with a civil position"

“The trust in this channel was low, because it was unlikely that the real General of the SVR could have such a telegram channel,” says political scientist Alexei Makarkin. - Such posts [as in the channel] are a separate genre, it has existed for many decades. Previously, the invented reports or information were sold to special services and on its basis made far-reaching conclusions, then [this phenomenon] disappeared, but when social networks and telegram channels appeared again. ”

The 61-year-old Valery Solovy for 12 years held the post of deputy advertising and public relations of MGIMO, and also read advertising courses in politics, the basics of the information war and the basics of state policy in the information sphere. In 2019, he quit the university, saying that he was accused of subversive activities and anti -state propaganda. “I was told that for political reasons, the institute considers it extremely undesirable to work in it,” he said then in a conversation with the Russian BBC service.

The political scientist repeatedly made vivid statements: for example, he said that Vladimir Putin is supposedly seriously ill. “He did evolution,” says political scientist Alexei Makarkin. - “Initially, many treated his statements quite seriously, thinking that he had insidies or that he was a mouthpiece of part of the security forces, but then the attitude began to change quickly enough. Recently, his forecasts were not perceived as something serious. ”

In October 2020, the Nightingale announced the creation of the political movement “Changes”, and after a month and a half he was arrested for 10 days under the article on violation of the rules for organizing a public event (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). At a meeting of supporters of the political scientist, unknown people threw a smoke bomb and scattered leaflets “Russia will be captured from such“ changes ” - the plans to“ stop the illegal anti -state event ”were reported by the Party of Zakhara Prilepin“ for truth ”.
