A court in the Moscow region recovered more than 19 billion rubles from the Rolf car dealer and its founder.

The Khimki City Court of the Moscow Region has recovered 19.4 billion rubles from the car dealer Rolf and its founder Sergey Petrov at the suit of the Prosecutor General's Office. about this TASS was told in court.

The court granted the claims in full. Co-defendants in the suit are also Rolf Motors LLC, Rolf Estate St. Petersburg LLC. They were ordered to pay the amount in equal shares.

Lawyer Anatoly Kupriyanov, representing the interests of Petrov, said in a conversation with Interfax that he intended to appeal this court decision.

“In the process, it turned out that there are no legal grounds for such a decision. In fact, the court introduced a new punishment - civil confiscation, which in our country is not provided for by any law. This is especially true for bringing legal entities to joint and several liability with individuals, which is impossible in the absence of victims, and in this case there are no victims,” Kupriyanov said.

The Prosecutor General's Office demanded to withdraw 19.4 billion rubles from the defendants in the lawsuit in favor of the state.

In 2019, a criminal case was opened against Petrov for the illegal withdrawal of 4 billion rubles abroad. According to investigators, the businessman with three accomplices in 2014 withdrew money to the accounts of the Cypriot Panabel Limited controlled by him.

Petrov was put on the international wanted list, he himself went to Austria. A month after the initiation of the criminal case, Petrov and the head of the business development department, Anatoly Kairo, were removed from the company's board of directors. Petrov stated that he left the council of his own free will.

In December, it became known that the KlyuchAvto car dealer group would acquire 100% of Rolf's shares.
