“In 2022, our festival is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Russian jazz in connection with which we took care not only to invite wonderful artists, but also to expand our program. The festival concerts will be held for the first time in six Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Tver, Yaroslavl and Krasnoyarsk, ”the words of the founder and artistic director of the festival Igor Butman quoted in the press service.
From March 11 to 13 in the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International House of Music (MMDM), a trio of legendary musicians from the USA will perform: Cyrus Carrenet, Willie Jones III and John Lee, Moscow Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Igor Butman and the famous guitarist, the winner of the three Grammy John Skofild.
The concerts of the MMDM will also take part in the quartet of Alex Sipyagin, Samara Joy, the quartet of Alexei Chernakov, the Waits, Vincent Archer, the Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan and the quintet Igor Butman.
In addition, in the program of the festival, a series of performances of the participants of the festival in the jazz club Igor Butman, creative meetings, a large educational program in museums and cultural centers of Moscow and the VIII International Festival-Contest “Children's Triumph Jaza”.
The XXII International Festival "Triumph Jazz" will last until March 19.
