A court in Moscow fined a journalist 150 thousand rubles after covering a picket

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow fined Anna Nikolaeva, a Green Moscow journalist, 150,000 rubles under the article on the repeated violation of the “rally” legislation (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by a lawyer from OVD-Info Irina Putilova.

On February 17, the journalist was detained near the State Duma, where a discussion of the draft federal law “On the Basics of the Legal Status of Large Families in the Russian Federation” was taking place. One of the activists gathered near the building was holding a poster with a text about the problems faced by parents with many children.

Nikolaeva was left at the Tverskaya police department for the night, despite the fact that she had a small child at home.
