Russian pairs won silver and bronze at the figure skating tournament at the Olympics

Chinese figure skaters Sui Wenjing and Han Cong won first place in the figure skating competition among sports pairs at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.

After the free program, the Chinese skaters scored a total of 239.88 points. They set a world record for the total points for couples.

Russian figure skaters Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov became silver medalists. The Russians, who were in second place after the short program, received 155.00 points in the free program, and in general - 239.25 points.

Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov received bronze. After the short program, they took third place, and in general they scored 237.71 points.

• The Russian team set a national record for the number of medals won at one Winter Olympics. At the Beijing Games, the team of the Russian Olympic Committee received 31 medals (6 gold, 11 silver, 14 bronze medals). Prior to this, the record achievement of Russian Olympians was 30 medals at the Olympics in Sochi.
• In the overall medal standings of the 2022 Olympics, the Russian team took eighth place.
