
The persecution of Soviet power to the Russian Church was such that it was not to say about their faith, but even silently follow it as a feat. The new martyrs and confessors, glorified in the face of the saints did not come: believed, prayed and meekly went to their Calvarys.
“Polit.ru” recalls those who gave their lives for faith and by whose prayers the Russian Church is alive - even if almost nothing came to us besides the name.

The holy martyr Ismail BazilevskyIsmail Bazilevsky - the son of a priest from the village of Novomakarov, Novokhopersky district of the Voronezh province. In 1897, 16-year-old Ismail Bazilevsky graduated from the Voronezh Theological School in the II category and four classes of theological seminary.
He acted as a psalmist in the Pokrovsky church of the village of Nizhne-Pokrovsky Biryuchensky district (now the village of Prilepa, Krasnogvardeisky district of the Belgorod region). Approved on March 8, 1901.
From 1901 to 1909 he worked as a teacher of a rural school. For some time, he worked as the manager of the landowner Reznikov.
He married, the family had two children.
On March 7, 1915, he was ordained the rank of deacon to the Trinity Church in the village of Vasilyevka Bobrovsky district. On March 18, 1915, he was ordained a priest to the church of the Archangel Michael in the village of Nastychny Zadonsky district.
From 1923 to 1930 he served as a priest of the village of Skornyakov of the same county. In 1930, the church in the village was closed.
In 1930 he settled in Voronezh. Starting since 1930, he worked as an accountant at the SCG plant. Since 1936 he worked at various works - a malarus, a stove -headed, etc. The last place of work before the arrest is the accountant-calculator of the Kopstroyles Oblpotrebsoyuz office.
On August 5, 1940, he was arrested on charges of “anti -Semitism, praise the royal system, a hostile attitude towards Soviet power, and the spread among his surroundings of the agitation.” He categorically did not find himself guilty.
On September 17, 1940, he was sentenced to 10 years of forced labor and 5 years of deprivation of civil rights. The verdict was confirmed by the Supreme Court of the RSFSR on October 7, 1940.
Since March 1941, he served a sentence in Karlag (Karaganda region of Kazakhstan). On August 31, 1941, he was arrested in Karlag on charges that “systematically in July-August 1941, among prisoners, expressed a slanderous and amazing character, praised the capitalist system. The defendant Bazilevsky did not admit the guilt of the charges. "
On November 4, 1941, a permanent session of the Karaganda regional court at the Karlag of the NKVD was sentenced to death.
After the closed court of the court, held in the village of Dolinka, the priest Bazilevsky I. N. did not agree with the sentence filed a cassation appeal to the Supreme Court of the Kazakh SSR, in which he completely refuted the charges against him, and asked to appoint a revision, but the cassation appeal did not affect the sentence.
Shot on November 17, 1941, the burial place is unknown.
