Two defenders of the Trinity Forest were detained in Moscow

In Moscow, because of the action in defense of the Trinity Forest, the security forces detained the secretary of the Moscow city committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Nikolai Volkov and activist Valentin Panferov. They themselves reported this to OVD-Info.

Volkov is being taken to the Khamovniki police station. A lawyer from OVD-Info Alexander Salamov hurries to help him.

Law enforcement officers came to Panferov's home, the young man was taken to the Cheryomushki police department. A lawyer from OVD-Info, Ilya Utkin, is coming to see him.

20:45 Two protocols were drawn up against Panferov under the article on violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), for February 4 and 6.

21:40 Volkov is charged with an article on repeated violation of the “rally” legislation (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), they are going to leave him at the police department for the night. At the same time, the previous decision on Volkov's violation of the rules for participation in the action was appealed and therefore did not enter into force.

On February 22, 13:50 , Volkov was reclassified as a violation of the rules for holding the rally (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), his lawyer Alexander Salamov told OVD-Info.

22:05 The Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow fined Nikolai Volkov, secretary of the Moscow city committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, 10 thousand rubles under the article on violation of the rules for participation in a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by a lawyer from OVD-Info Alexander Salamov.

Salamov was not allowed to appear in court as Volkov's defense attorney on the judge's order, citing the fact that the lawyer "cursed" at the police department.

• In the Trinity Forest (New Moscow), eco-activists and caring local residents are regularly on duty, who oppose the cutting down of some trees to build a school. On February 12, the police detained more than 10 people who were on duty in the forest. The court then imposed fines and arrests on them, defense with the support of OVD-Info was carried out by lawyer Ekaterina Morozova and lawyers Olga Bukhina and Maria Krasova.
