Six districts of the Moscow region will accept refugees from Donbass

Over the weekend, the Moscow region prepared eight accommodation centers for refugees from Donbass in six urban districts - Volokolamsk, Klin, Kolomna, Zaraysk, Podolsk and Pushkino. Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov spoke about this today at a weekly meeting with the leadership of the region.

“You know that recently everyone’s attention has been drawn to the escalation in Donbass,” he noted. “We all see what alarming events are happening there, as well as the number of people who leave there. Mostly these are women, children who find themselves in a difficult situation and who need help. Tomorrow we will have the first one and a half thousand children, mothers, grandmothers, whom we will meet in Naro-Fominsk.”

Vorobyov asked all the heads of the districts where those arriving from Donbass would be sent to personally meet people in Naro-Fominsk, treat them with the utmost care, escort them to places of accommodation, create comfortable living conditions, help with paperwork, medical care, placing children in schools and adults in work.

The governor recommended that heads of municipalities not yet involved in receiving refugees prepare to participate in the program to support residents of the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics.

He also said that United Russia has organized a collection of humanitarian aid for Donbass. Today three tons of confectionery and bakery products will be sent there. Refugees will receive 40 tons of bottled water, coffee, personal hygiene products, antiseptics, and electrical appliances for household needs.

In addition, today the regional authorities received confirmation from five construction companies operating in the Moscow region of their readiness to transfer a total of half a billion rubles to help refugees.
