Novosibirsk: Residents held pickets against recognition of "LPR" and "DPR"

Residents of Novosibirsk on February 23 went to pickets against the war with Ukraine and against the recognition of the independence of the "LPR" and "DPR". The picketers believe that the "military man of Putin" will lead to the fact that life in the Russian regions "rise in price".

“The Novosibirsk people do not want to pay Putin’s military through the growth of prices and tariffs, due to the quality of health and education. We want peace and prosperity of our country, and not poverty, corruption, arbitrariness, lawlessness and imprisonment of Russia in the list of world outcasts,” Nevideo telegram channel quotes activists.

• Vladimir Putin decided to recognize state independence "DPR" and "LPR" in the evening of February 21. On February 22, both "republics", the State Duma and the Federation Council ratified agreements on friendship and mutual assistance. Putin announced the termination of the Minsk agreements and on the same day ordered to introduce Russian troops in the territory controlled by the self -proclaimed separatist republics of the DPR and LPR.
• The Kremlin’s actions criticized a number of Western countries. The leaders of world states called Putin’s decree by a violation of international law. The OSCE called on Russia to immediately cancel the decision to recognize the "LPR" and "DPR". "The recognition will only incite further tension and separate the population of these regions from the rest of Ukraine," the statement said.
