We have long guessed that the behavior of the President of Russia should be analyzed, relying not only on political science, but also on psychology. Moreover, the longer Putin remains the president of Russia, the more his own internal problems affect his actions.

In modern psychology, there is a term Darvo (abbreviation from the English words Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender - “To deny, attack, change the sacrifice and offender”), which indicate a typical strategy of psychological abuse applied to their victim. The aggressor, as a rule, denies that violence on his part has ever taken place, attacks his victim for trying to hold him accountable and claims that in fact he is a sacrifice, accusing a real sacrifice of aggression, so that the injured person trying to bring the rapist is responsible and to prove his innocence. This Jesuit strategy usually works reliably, and the victim, who dared to speak and publicly accuse his offender, often turns out to be discredited, disoriented and prefers to continue to endure further mockery of himself.
Listening to Vladimir Putin’s pronounced speech on February 21, I constantly caught myself thinking that he behaves as a typical home tyrant, which “hits and does not wing”, and his statements and actions completely fit into the Darvo strategy. Judge for yourself.
Putin always denies his guilt, and even if he subsequently admits his deed, he does not consider himself guilty and continues to act in the same direction and with the same impudence. Remember how he stubbornly denied the presence of Russian troops in Crimea in 2014? And then he admitted that they were there, but put this fact to himself. Then, with the same perseverance, he denied their presence in the Donbass. Soon, apparently, the concept will change again, and for hostilities in the Donbass will be distributed to orders and medals, as for the “return” of Crimea 8 years ago.
Putin all the time acts as the prosecutor of Ukraine. What are the Ukrainians in his opinion not to blame. Here, for example, that he talks about Ukraine until 2014: “... the Ukrainian authorities preferred to act in such a way that in relations with Russia to have all the rights and advantages, but not to bear any obligations. Instead of partnership, dependency began to prevail, which sometimes acquired an absolutely unceremonious character from the Kyiv official authorities. It is enough to recall permanent blackmail in the field of energy transit and banal theft of gas. I will add that in Kyiv they tried to use a dialogue with Russia as a preposition for bargaining with the West, blackmail it with a rapprochement with Moscow, knocking out preferences for themselves: they say, otherwise Russian influence on Ukraine will grow. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities initially, I want to emphasize this, it was from the first steps that they began to build their statehood on the denial of everything that unites us, sought to distort the consciousness, the historical memory of millions of people, entire generations living in Ukraine. It is not surprising that Ukrainian society has encountered the growth of extreme nationalism, which quickly acquired the form of aggressive Russophobia and neo -Nazism. ”
Well, after the Maidan, in 2014, according to Putin, there was a complete horror there: “The radicals who seized power organized the persecution, a real terror against those who opposed anti -constitutional actions. Politics, journalists, public figures mocked them, they were publicly humiliated. The Ukrainian cities were overwhelmed by a wave of pogroms and violence, a series of loud and unpunished killings. ”
Putin all the time positions himself (and Russia, which he personifies) as the injured side. And NATO deceived him, and Ukraine betrayed him, and the whole West does not respect and does not want to reckon with his “concern”. And the United States generally ignore his Wishlist, and even blackmails sanctions.
