In Belgorod, police knocked on a lawyer’s door

In Belgorod, the police were pounding on the door of Ilya Potemkin, a lawyer. He himself informed OVD-Info about this.

The reason for the visit is unknown. According to Potemkin, the police were rude and aggressive, saying “open the door, or it will be worse”, threatened to break the door.

At the time of writing, it is not known if the police have left.

“After some time, a journalist called me and said that the police were detained for the inscription on the clothes “NO WAR”. I contacted him and immediately went to the police. But they didn’t let me through, and I stood at the entrance along with the journalists of Radio Liberty. Vladimir Bilevich was at the police station for more than three hours that day, and as a result he was released without drawing up a protocol, but they handed him a summons for February 27 at 12:00 to the same police department.

On February 27 at 12:00 I came with Bilevich to the police. Compiling the material took seven hours (only at 19:00 the protocol was drawn up and the client signed it). While I was at the police station defending Bilevich, my wife said that the police were bursting into our apartment, shouting that they would break down the door. I told journalists and acquaintances about this and did not quit my job, but remained in the police to protect Vladimir. I think they are trying to intimidate me. I suppose the idea was this: I’ll be afraid that the police are breaking into the apartment, I’ll leave and leave my client,” Potemkin said.
