The world's largest container companies have stopped accepting orders for the transportation of goods to Russia

On March 1, the Swiss Mediterranean Shipping Company ( MSC ), Danish Maersk and French CMA-CGM announced they had stopped accepting applications for shipping containers to and from Russia.

Container companies cited Russia's invasion of Ukraine and subsequent sanctions against Russia.

At the same time, MCS and Maersk noted that their decision does not apply to the delivery of essential goods such as food, medical equipment and humanitarian supplies.
