Ukrainian football player Yaroslav Rakitsky left Zenit. This was reported to the St. Petersburg club in social networks.
The official statement of Zenit says that Rakitsky himself asked to terminate the contract with him ahead of schedule in connection with the difficult family situation. The contract has been terminated from March 2.
Zenit thanked Rakitsky during the time spent in St. Petersburg. “We sincerely wish the well -being of the relatives and friends of Yaroslav Rakitsky and, of course, we express our hope to see football fields,” the report said.
Rakitsky moved to Zenit from the Donetsk Shakhtar in January 2019. As part of Zenit, the defender three times became the champion of Russia, won the Russian Cup and two Super Cup of Russia, and held 108 matches as part of the team, scoring seven goals. The RFU three times included Rakitsky in the list of 33 best players of the Russian championship in the season.
