Russia's Investigative Committee said it would create immediate response teams to incidents in connection with Russia's so-called "military special operation" in Ukraine. “The head of the department ordered the creation of interdepartmental investigative and operational groups in the territorial investigative departments of the Russian Investigative Committee to immediately respond to incidents in connection with events in Ukraine, suppress extremist and terrorist manifestations, uncoordinated protests and provocations, and other actions aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Russian Federation.” , the department said in a statement.

The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, separately emphasized that it is necessary, in cooperation with other government agencies, to take measures “to identify and suppress the activities of persons disseminating calls for violation of public order, holding unauthorized actions during a special operation, as well as persons initiating replication on the Internet, messengers and social networks of illegal and destructive user content.”

Bastrykin also said that it is necessary to use criminal legal means to suppress the spread of false information about events related “to the conduct of a special military operation to protect the LPR and DPR.”
