The court in St. Petersburg terminated the criminal case against the doctor Alexander Zemchenkov. He was accused of killing and dismembering his wife. This was reported by the press service of the city courts.

The prosecutor changed the qualifications of Zemchenkov’s case from the murder to infliction of death by negligence. The prosecution believes that on February 23, 2010, Zemchenkov quarreled with his wife, the alleged cause of the conflict - his betrayal. He pushed his wife on a chair, she fell, hit her head on the floor and died. Zemchenkov dismembered the corpse, packed them into bags and then threw them in an unidentified place.

The defense filed a motion to terminate the case of the expiration of the time limits. Zemchenkova was released in the courtroom.

Earlier, the SK stated that Zemchenkov, in order to hide the crime, appealed to the police with a statement that his wife had left the house to work and went missing. The investigation was resumed after the 92-year-old Father Zemchenkova fell into a personal reception to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Bastrykin.
