McDonald's will close all its restaurants in Russia

McDonald's will close all 850 of its restaurants in Russia. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing a company statement.

At the same time, McDonald's emphasized that for the time being they would continue to pay salaries to 62,000 Russian employees who "invested their heart and soul in the development of the brand."

• Earlier on March 8, Yum! Brands, the owner of the KFC brand, has announced that it is suspending development programs in Russia. There were no reports of restaurant closures.
• Burger King previously announced that it would continue to work in Russia.
