Top managers of Russian companies included in the new EU sanctions list

The European Union imposed sanctions against 14 major Russian businessmen, their families and 146 members of the Federation Council, who approved the ratification of friendship and cooperation treaties with the DPR and LPR. This is reported in the Official Journal of the EU.

In particular, the sanctions list included the head of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky, the head of VK Vladimir Kiriyenko, the head of SIBUR Dmitry Konov, the head of Phosagro Andrey Guryev, the director of Aeroflot Mikhail Poluboyarinov, a member of the board of directors of Magnit Alexander Vinokurov, the chairman of the Board of Rusnano Sergey Kulikov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uralkali Dmitry Mazepin and his son Nikita, Formula 1 pilot.

The names of most of the entrepreneurs against whom restrictions were introduced were named by the Financial Times on the eve of the official publication of the list. As noted by the publication, almost all of them participated in the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with business on February 24, the day the "special operation in Ukraine" began. Therefore, the EU referred them to Putin's "inner circle".

• Earlier, the European Union imposed sanctions on almost all State Duma deputies who approved an appeal to the President of Russia to recognize the independence of the DPR and LPR and voted for the ratification of friendship and cooperation agreements with the self-proclaimed republics. Some Russian banks, Russian President Vladimir Putin personally, as well as a number of officials, businessmen and propagandists also fell under the EU restrictions.
