Russia traditionally assigned responsibility for the incident on the "Ukrainian nationalists" who allegedly fired at the power lines. Russian conscripts in the war. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation unexpectedly admitted that they were sent to Ukraine - presenting it as a mistake and a rare phenomenon: the representative of the department said that, “unfortunately, several facts were discovered” of their participation in the operation.
