
The St. Petersburg State University was proposed to enroll the participants of the “Special Military Operation of the Russian Federation on the Protection of the Donbass Population” for undergraduate programs without entrance examinations. This is stated on the site of the university.
In addition, the military operating now in Ukraine wants to give the opportunity to receive a second or subsequent higher education for free. “One of the important measures of support for military personnel, law enforcement officers and special operations forces is the provision of opportunities for higher education and advanced training,” it said in a brief report on the rector of March 9, 2022.
The vice -rector for educational work and the organization of admission Alexander Babich proposed to amend the Law “On Education in the Russian Federation”. The idea was supported by all participants in the meeting, noted on the website of St. Petersburg State University. A letter to the Minister of Science and Higher Education will be sent on March 9.
