Moscow, it seems, is already used to the abundance of auto -zaks and police buses in the center. They do not leave neither from pure ponds, nor from Lubyanka, nor from the tube, nor from Pushkinskaya Square even on weekdays. Became part of the city landscape. Only occasionally, for some reason, they replace each other for some reason: today the Rosgvard is on duty at Myasnitskaya, and tomorrow-the police. On weekends, especially on Sunday, when promotions of opponents of “special operations” are held in the capital, they are on duty together: both police officers and the Russian Guard.

Manezhnaya Square was surrounded by metal fences with the inscription "Internal Affairs Directorate for CAO." Also - “Internal Affairs Directorate for the Central Administrative District” - an employee in a cap is also presented, passing people to the square and checking the documents from them. Amazing tactics: if they usually do not allow protesters to get together, now everything is different: freely go to the monument to Marshal Zhukov, and then - no longer completely free - on the bus, out of the lattices.

The Kremlin has a lot of such buses - from four dozen.

The first detentions on Manezhnaya begin already 40 minutes before the appointed start of the action. At first polite: a woman in a blue jacket is "for landing." The contents of her bag are checked at the door of the car carrier, they confer of something for a minute and ask to "proceed to the salon." Following two more.

- Young man, where should the action be here? How to find people? - A middle -aged woman pulls me.

- What is the action? I am warily interested in.

To tell me where the action, I refuse - in the end, it is not agreed, and three meters from us are two police officers.

The woman seems to be Lyudmila. After asking what publication I am from, and noting that Novaya Gazeta does not know, she begins to tell herself why she came to the square.

- I was born in Kursk, but almost all my life I lived in Kharkov. Only eight years ago I came here to Moscow, because of work.

“Many of me left Kharkov,” she continues.

- To Russia?

Lyudmila emphasizes that she, as a Ukrainian, considers the Russians a fraternal people: "But the brothers should not behave like that." He regrets that she was not on the square last weekend-"I did not know that there would be something, and when I found out-even cried."

It is premature to cry, however: it is difficult to judge whether people have come more today or less than a week ago, but one can definitely say one thing - those whom I noticed last Sunday is not on the square. Protesters come once - before the first detention. Because of the new article, the Code of Administrative Offenses-“On the discrediting of the actions of the Russian Armed Forces”-the second detention can already turn into a criminal case and a very real deprivation of liberty.

The security forces constantly run on the style, now and then selectively checking the documents among people. Those who do not have a passport with them - immediately go on a bus. Those who with a passport are asked to show the contents of bags, ask where they go, and sometimes they let go.

Today in the square I no longer meet those who came here due to a loss of work or other consequences of sanctions. All conversations are purely ideological.

In some “astronauts” on helmets, I notice stickers with the letter “Z” in the colors of the Russian tricolor. They are more actively engaged in checking documents and - in the first twenty minutes - not with rigid detentions.

Tough begins closer to 14 o’clock. By this time, you can’t distinguish in the square, where the protester is and where not. A lot of onlookers who just went out to walk in the center and now do not understand what is happening around. A lot of families with children.

- How to get out of here? - a woman with a son of primary school age asks me scaredly. Five meters from us at that time, four with batons carry a man in a gray jacket in a car zakak. She presses her son to her, trying to close her eyes with her palm.

I show her towards the area of ​​the revolution. There, among some reason open fences, there are two streams of people: some go to the square, others from it. Many of those who come to the arena are soon on the police buses.

"For what? Why are you dragging me? " - a woman in a brown jacket picked up by riot police rests. And you won’t break it: did she really come to the action?

There are a lot of detained women.

The security forces turn on the loudspeakers and begin continuously, interrupting each other, repeat: “Dear citizens! You are at the site of a possible action that is not agreed with the executive authorities. And potentially - you are its participants. The request to leave the square. Otherwise, measures will be applied to you in accordance with applicable law. ” They say so ten and twenty minutes. Repeat again and again. And they continue to run people to the square.

This time, the Manezhnya does not chant anything. Only occasionally someone unfolds posters. And then-accompanied by 4-5 security forces-goes to a car zakak. It also goes to journalists.

- Go away by 20 meters! - The captain of the police shouts at me and my colleagues, on duty at the buses with the detainees. - I will warn once, the second, then we will detain.
