The case against them was opened on March 11. According to investigators, the detainees “organized meetings, held lectures on the study of the ideology of unification, expressed in denial of the collapse of the USSR as a state, denial of the constitutional system of the modern Russian Federation, and obstruction of the legitimate activities of government bodies.”
On March 12, the Abdulaevs, Fomina and Davudov gathered at the office of the Makhachkala Executive Committee of the DASSR and the Trade Union of the DASSR to hold a meeting there. Later, security forces burst into the premises, took away everyone’s phones, seized equipment from the office and took the detainees to the police department.
