The US Senate unanimously approved a resolution calling for the International Criminal Court to investigate war crimes committed in Ukraine by Russian military forces under the command of Vladimir Putin, reports . Voice of America
The resolution was introduced by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. The senators strongly condemned the violence, war crimes and crimes against humanity being committed in Ukraine by the Russian military.
The resolution calls on the ICC to investigate the activities of Putin, members of the Russian Security Council, and the command of the Russian army for war crimes.

In early March, International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan announced that he was launching an investigation into war crimes , crimes against humanity, or genocide committed in Ukraine. Khan was asked to start an investigation by 39 member countries of the ICC. According to the prosecutor, the investigation will consider offenses committed since November 2013.
