In crisis times, the number of people who find themselves in a difficult life situation is growing, and charitable organizations are becoming more. Therefore, regular donations are now especially important.
Employees of Paper telling what charitable funds and organizations they help and why they consider it important.
-A year ago, I began to help the OVD-info and “protest apology”. Why it is important to support them, probably, no one needs to explain. This legal assistance to the detainees, which used to be relevant, and now, with the current legal lawlessness, is doubly relevant. I began to utter the OVD-Info after I was detained on January 31, 2021. A lawyer came to me from there. As a result, I did not need it, but I was able to help others. Then I began to support the "apology."
-I support the OVD-Info. She began to utter them after she was at several rallies in the winter of 2021 and saw herself how many people were delayed and hit for the fact that they simply came to express their disagreement [with an official position] and a point of view. I know that the OVD-Info does a lot in order to help people who were detained and protect them.
After protests this year, I slightly increased my monthly payment to them. Judging by the number of detainees, the guys have a lot of work now.
And in our country there are still those who go to protests, despite the detention and beatings. It is good that there is someone to support them in case of problems, and I can at least slightly help them financially in this.
- “Divination” is an organization supporting the parents of adult children with disabilities who are forced to be 24/7 with them. One year ago, I watched the funds in “such matters”, this response and I began to support it monthly. I sincerely want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to relax and unload, especially overloaded with circumstances or care for loved ones. In my opinion, the opportunity to relax and relax is one of the basic for mental health.
- About 10 years ago, I began to support the "observers of St. Petersburg." They organize observation in the elections. Since I myself am observing, I know how important the support of such initiatives is.
“Observers of St. Petersburg” created an “open space” and began to be based there. Therefore, I began to support him. “Open space” is a community thanks to which human rights organizations support those who need it: Quir-muds, activists, women affected by domestic violence.
- For a couple of years, I have been Donachu by the organization “Children of St. Petersburg”, which teaches the Russian language of children of refugees and migrants, helps them get to school and prepare for exams, adapt in a new environment for themselves. He also advises their parents on legal and social issues and issues a newspaper for women from Central Asia in four languages.
For me, everything is simple here: people should have an equal access to education and the ability to realize their potential. I consider it wrong that in the 21st century in one of the largest Russian cities, which is proud of its culture, there are children who do not go to school, which they do not take there because they speak Russian poorly. This is despite the fact that according to the law in Russia, each child, regardless of citizenship, has the right to free school education.
I understand that schools do not have a resource to approach each child individually and respond to his needs, this is a big system problem. So for many children, free courses and classes with volunteers are the only opportunity to master the language and start studying in order to continue education or get a job in the future to become who they want. For me, this is a matter that is worth supporting.
- I help the Fund "old age in joy." The fund’s team is supporting the elderly throughout Russia, now the fund has about 70 thousand wards. They live in the homes of elderly, neuropsychiatric boarding schools, at home. I transfer money to them, because I have personal interest here-still I would like to survive until old age, and it is desirable that it be cool. In Russia, unfortunately, it is scary to age. And there are not so many examples of comfortable aging for various reasons. I think that it is important to change this - in addition to social changes, it is worth learning to accept your age and generally represent adults and elderly people more actively. The fund recalls that old age is not only a glass of water, but also goals, relationships, active life.
I transfer a small amount of once a month by subscription. The report on the activities of the Fund can be found on their website, and by mail they send mailings about what assistance to grandparents provided, how they spend holidays with wards, what plans have plans. I also love the Instagram of the fund - there are heartbreaking stories there, usually I begin to sob on the third post about the saved grandmother. But to help motivates! Especially now, when, against the background of a crisis, it is easy to forget about different vulnerable groups - including about lonely old people.
- I have been helping the “overnight” monthly since 2019. She began to support her when we made a non -profit special project about the employment of the homeless in the “Paper”. Then I realized that there is a comprehensive problem of homelessness, I learned many guys who work in the “night”. They burned with their business, seemed cool to me and aroused confidence in me. So I began to finish them. It seems to me that and the employees of the “overnight stays” say that it is easy to collect help to children, animals - to those who seem sweet, innocent and beautiful. And adults who are stigmatized, for example, HIV-positive, sex workers, homeless, are very difficult. I wanted to support people whom no one usually wants to support.
Then I participated in the project on civilian education "Grass". There we did many different activist projects, including a project to save food "Food will save the world." Through it, we also talked with the "overnight" and met the guys from there. Once we came to them and, together with the wards, prepared dinner from the saved products. It was interesting to talk with these people, to find out what the situation they got into. So the wards received emotional support. I think that charitable funds can be helped not only financially, but also emotionally, as it happened this time, and informationally, as we did in the “paper”.
- About six months ago, I began to help the "night". I know that they really help people restore a normal life. I think that the "night" brings up sympathy in relation to those who were in difficult circumstances. The organization exists only on donations, so I decided to support it.
- A couple of years ago, I saw an advertisement for the “Long Endo” fund in the subway and began to help him monthly. I want to support ordinary pensioners who are financially difficult to export the most basic needs.
