At the exit from Pokrovskaya IK-2, police detained the lawyers of oppositionist Alexei Navalny, Olga Mikhailova and Vadim Kobzev. This was reported by a Mediazona correspondent.
They were taken into a police bus when they came out to reporters after the politician’s verdict was announced and began answering questions about the trial. The police began using a megaphone to demand “to clear the roadway” and not to “interfere with the normal operation of the special institution.”
Soon Kobzev clarified that they were released and “even kindly taken back to the car.”
Navalny was today sentenced to 9 years in a maximum security colony on charges of donation fraud and contempt of court. The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow considered the case at an off-site hearing in the colony, where the oppositionist is already serving his sentence.
