And how much are they their own? How many people know in Russia how much, for example, people live there and how they live. How did they live until 2014? How do they live now? What do they think? There is no mobilization in Russia itself, although there are many fears around this word. But in full, it took place in both “republics”, which Russia protects. On March 12, the material “We were taken into slavery in the 21st century and do with us what they want” was published in the “New” - eyewitnesses talked about how forced mobilization was held in the “DPR”. After that, many letters came to the editorial office from relatives of those who fell into the warheads and even from those men who are hiding from the draft. We managed to talk with some of them. For security reasons, all names are changed (real names and audio recordings are at the disposal of the editorial office). Let's listen to their voices.
“All men from 18 to 55 should go to fight,” writes Elena from LPR. - At the beginning of the mobilization of men, they got out of public transport, caught on the street and came home (wore subpoenas). Some men went to work with dashes and in constant fear that they would be taken away. A week later, some men were given a reservation (I know exactly about those who work in factories, in the ministry, in warehouses). But the reservation was not given to everyone. Many men just sit at home for three weeks, on the first floors they go so that they are not visible in the window, try not to turn on the light in the evening. I personally have a guy at home and about 10 comrades/acquaintances. In addition, I live in the city near the line (...) [clashes]. We have heard constant sounds of shelling for three weeks. This is very scary. We want peace! "

Sergey is a graduation student of the Donetsk Medical University. On February 22, he and his friends called from the dean and said that they would not be called, that lists of student students had already sent them from the university to the military enlistment office, and they urgently need to come there and just take certificates that they cannot be called up.
- My friends went on the same day, I decided to go to the next thing that saved me. Those who appeared “for a certificate” were immediately recorded in “Volunteers”. In general, I doubt that our dean would have begun to deceive students at the personal desire of students. Most likely, all this was with the presentation of the rector Ignatenko Grigory Anatolyevich. And then he spoke on local television and said what our fellows students we have, voluntarily went to protect the republic.
“And what have you been doing since then?”
- I'm hiding.
- At home?
- In another place, of course. By registration, they can come to check, bring the summons.
- You have been hiding for a fourth week?
- Yes, from February 22 I can’t go anywhere at all. I arrived and sit. They caught the first week, stood on every corner. The second is even more or less.
But now, relatives say that the police are standing again on every corner, they check everyone, they are wrapped right away, put in auto -zaks and are taken to the places of mobilization.
- And what about your classmates?
- While they were here in the camp, we corresponded. The conditions there were disgusting. Some lacked the winter uniform and gave summer, my friends were sleeping on concrete until their parents brought brown and sleeping bags. These are my three personal friends, and there were several hundred people with them. My friends were still lucky, they were sent to a medical company. And those guys who later went (who were dragged by deception or intimidated), they were already sent to artillery, whom to snipers. For example, in Gorlovka in Medrot, Shakhters, and medical students were sent simply ordinary warriors. Naturally, they were first told: it would be just fees, but after a couple of days it became known that they were sent to Kherson and whom under Mariupol.

- What are you all about the age?
- 22–23 years.
- Is there a connection with them now?
-They sometimes manage to send the news to their parents. As I understand it, they found a phone somewhere there and send news. These are literally messages for three seconds “We are alive” and all, this is all the information.
- What are their moods?
- Well, what moods can be when you were pushed by force and deceit on (...)? That is, no one wanted this with us, there are no volunteers. All this is done with deceit, blackmail - people are blackmailed by dismissal, expulsion from universities, a prison term, a fine of 200 thousand.
In one conscript, gastric bleeding began, and it did not let go anywhere for four days. That is, he was tearing blood, but he was not let go anywhere. They said: nothing, wait. On the fourth day, he began to die, he was released, then they were already starting to be transferred, as I understood. Well, then I received information from friends who work in a hospital in the city where this camp was: they have one conscript died of gastric bleeding. I do not know, this is the same or the other, but death was in the hospital of the city where there were fees.
-Do you know something about those classmates who participate in hostilities?
“I only know that those guys who were distributed to artillery, snipers, shooters,” they were thrown into Mariupol. One of my classmates the other day was transferred from her department to surgery to the wounded. There, the student (but not our university) says that only he survived of all the conscripts where they were.
“I am from the“ DPR ”and fully confirm the conduct of mobilization with us on a voluntary-compulsory manner,” writes Victoria. - My close relative was taken to the front on the agenda, since he is a simple worker at the state -owned enterprise, and no one asks such, as you know. We thought that he would be returned, since he had two certificates: one for health reasons and the second to care for a sick person. However, this did not help. He spent a day in the open air in light clothing in a downpour, and then a man who did not serve, was sent to the unknown where.
Since March 10, he does not get in touch. There is no limit to the outrage of both mine and all the inhabitants of the republic. They say nothing, it is impossible to contact at the moment. A relative said that he had people who also have medical and other certificates of unsuitability, but this does not bother anyone. They were sent to defend us, but at the same time on March 14 there was an arrival at the Donetsk center, as a result of which 21 people died (it did not arrive there even in 2014). And there are many people like us: ordinary workers ... We just hope that we will get at least one message with the text: “Alive, healthy. I will be at home soon. "
I would like at least someone to know: the war in the DPR did not end, and there was no defense promised to us either. ”
We contacted Victoria. She said that her relative was “outside the republics” and nothing is still unknown about him. According to her, the next wave of mobilization began: "At the central bus station of my city, men were again taken from buses again."

Svetlana is 32 years old, she speaks very carefully, inconsistently. It is felt that she is scared.
- Not only in the “DPR” attitude, like dogs. The LPR is also caught on the streets of men. They take it by force. People are scared, afraid to leave the house. Really scary. They just fit, ask your age, put in beads and take it away. There is no question of any agendas at all. Full of lawlessness. After 18:00, it’s scary to go outside. They stand in microdistricts and directly ask the passers -by: “Age?”, “Age?”, “Age?”. And then they take it away.
We collect food, personal hygiene, and clothes here by all means, because the mobilized do not feed and often select what relatives are conveying.
Our parcels reach, but they have prison laws there, all this goes to others. This is some kind of nightmare. It is scary to live with such an attitude of the authorities. If a person refuses to mobilize, they are threatened by reprisal in place. Just people in power have gone crazy. This is idiocy.
“Did you take someone into the army in your family?”
- No. We are carefully trying to prevent it. In all ways.
-There is someone, but is he hiding?
- Naturally. Why? This is perfect stupidity. Just unusual.
- There are many who are hiding?
- Certainly. Everyone who has the opportunity is hidden.
- Why do people hide?
- Why? Our families are almost divided in half! Through the line [of the contact of Ukraine and the “LDNR”] through this! Everyone who is sent there - they have children, for example, live through a hill (they took them there, the children entered the institutes there). And now they mobilize all the dads so that they go there, on their children? This is nonsense! The absurdity of the situation! Some acquaintances grabbed stroke-infarcts without even reaching there. And, of course, many are hiding.
- And there were those who wanted to go?
- Yes. There are always ideomers. There is no without them. This is natural. But this is a minority. Of course, I’m risking now when I speak with you. We are all in fear. In general, women are mostly walking along the streets. There are very few men. We are like in a cage. Lurk, intimidated. Everyone is scared. Everyone is very afraid of everything.

-Is there any resistance among the people?
- No! How? How to resist armed people? The four came home - four! With weapons! - How will you resist them? No way. What resistance?! Of course not. Everyone wants to live.
-Do women do something?
- Women work throughout the family. What can you? What will we do? Here I have a small child - what will I do? I go to work. Well, I also need to live somehow. There is nowhere to go. There was where to go. Where it was where it was to go, just the whole city was bombed with the ground. Therefore, everything. Unfortunately, there is no such freedom - choice, words.
- Is this city in Ukraine?
- Yes. Terrible. We are just waiting for all when it all ends already. This is some kind of insanity. Then, in 2014, somehow all the time-and the line was drawn.
It didn’t particularly touch so much. And now ... This is just the world of the absurd in which we now live. It’s simply impossible to understand.
Olga writes from Donetsk. She believes that everything that happens is illegal, and asks to disseminate information:
“This is all true, and the situation is very deplorable, terrible and terrible. Men are taken on the street, removed from the buses, stop cars, bring summons to the housing office, universities, and jobs. Everywhere there is information that all volunteers, but force them to go to the military registration and enlistment office under the threat of dismissal from work, deductions from the university or criminal liability. The agenda came to my groom and friend, called from ZhEK and said urgently - or criminal liability. My fiancé went to the military registration and enlistment office on the agenda 02/26/22.
People are taken throughout the territory of the LDNR, from 18 to 55 years old, the guy was not trained as a guy, a medical examination was not carried out.
On the first day, they were given uniforms and shoes, they were taken to the school of Ilovaisk, they slept on the floor, they just stood on the street, in the cold, they didn’t feed the first few days, after a couple of times a day they gave a little food, there is no hot water, there are not always a lot of people, there are no toilet, a hole on the street, the attitude of the brutal, many guys are sick.

Once the young man did not drop [the phone], and I heard a conversation with them on behalf of some commander, as if they were prisoners or prison prisoners, it was scary to hear and understand that everything was happening in your homeland with citizens. Many guys and men became bad, they were taken by an ambulance, as illnesses were not even checked. One young guy said that he had asthma, they took it anyway, and on one day, because of the conditions, he lost consciousness. Take with asthma, heart disease, poor vision and other diseases. 03/03/22 at 6.00 in the morning everyone woke up, gave out their weapons, not even allocated cartridges, they didn’t show how, they stood on the street in the rain all day, they took them to the railway station and put them on the train, they only fed, all the unwashed, sick, they didn’t say where and why they were being taken to Kherson, and there the connection broke off. The guy constantly said that the attitude and conditions are just a nightmare, he would tell a lot, but could not. For more than a week there is no connection, it is not clear where and what is with people. They promised that there would be at least training, as a result, young guys and men were taken to do not understand where and why, but in fact one could guess.
Sending untrained to hot spots-someone is standing behind this and must be responsible.
It is terrible to read the lists of prisoners, wounded and killed ... It’s scary not to know where they are and what is with them. We need to save the life of our men and young guys. There are almost no men in the city, only children, adolescents and old people remained, the situation is difficult, shelling continues, and families were left without strength, protection and help. ”
Catherine comes from a small village, which is located, according to her, “in the temporarily uncontrolled territory of Ukraine,” although it is officially customary to say “DPR” in Russia. Mobilization in the village began on February 19.
They took her father. Here's what she says:
“They were brought to the military registration and enlistment office, identified in an anti -tank platoon, the first night they spent the night in the building of the technical school on the floor. On February 23, they were transported to another city, settled in a hostel, in which there were two toilets for 500 people without washing, there were also problems with water, they were fed in the evening. A day or two they were transferred to (...), the village near the Volnovakha, they were there for several days. Nobody fed them, as dad said, they caught a goose and welded soup from him. Together with him in that village there were 70 people from our village. Men began to hurt, wives collected them with warm things, food and medicines, these parcels could not bring them to them for a long time. On March 5, he stopped in touch, there was no connection with him. He did not receive the second parcel, because his platoon was transferred to another place. A week later, he wrote that he was alive, he said in what place he was. There is no connection with him again. ”

They took her 20-year-old brother, right from the street in Donetsk: “He was sent to Novoazovsk, determined in snipers. It must be explained that since childhood he has problems with vision and spleen, he is not suitable for service. At the moment he was released home, as he fell ill with pneumonia. "
We phoned Catherine.
“Do you know where your family and acquaintances are sent?”
-(...) The son of our neighbor under the sums (he is 19–20 years old), someone was sent to the Crimea, someone near Kharkov. Women raised a panic, someone went to Donetsk to the commandant’s office-to find out what and how. The next day, people from the MGB came to our village, conducted an “explanatory conversation”, said that the civilians were not sent to the front line. And immediately they changed the boss (I don’t know who he is by rank), to whom the mobilized are subordinate. So that no one calls anyone and tells anything.
- And where is your father now, known?
- The location is constantly changing.
- Your father was not hiding?
- No, he did not hide. (...) makes people different with people. Our family also has disagreements on the political topic. It is clear that they were not voluntarily called. I can’t answer for him, I don’t know how he feels now, I have no connection with him. But there were those who did not want. There are those who are still hiding. A lot of those who are hiding.
-Do you know anyone?
- My sister’s godfather tried to hide, but failed. He is just pro -Ukrainian views. And he was sent to where the battles are going. It's hot now.
- When your brother recovers, he will be taken again?
- Yes.
- Does he want or not?
“I think he doesn't want to.” We did not talk to him in this regard. The fact is that he was engaged in journalism or, as I think, by propaganda of a kind, because there in no other way. There are definitely no independent media there. And even before all these events, for a long time, we discussed this with him, and he, of course, was in shock and said that this is all terrible - all that they write. He understood that it was necessary to leave, that this could not continue.
- Leave from the republic?
- Yes. To Russia.
- It is interesting that you have other views. Not like your father. What are the moods in your village?
-Honestly, differently. But the majority, it seems to me, is not for Ukraine, if so directly. There are those who still want to return these territories back. There are those who do not want, there are much more. I myself was subject to propaganda. When in 2014 it began (...), I was 14 years old (now I am 22). We grew up there. I don’t know how, of course, I managed to change my opinion. I was a child, was surrounded by adults, listened to what they were saying, and this is all very much affecting. But still, somehow my opinion has changed.
- In Russia, there are also many similar disagreements, and in families too.
- Now everyone is hard. I have no explanation of how to act, how to think. I chose my position for myself, my point of view, and I try not to impose it on the rest. I hope this will still end. And everything will be restored, just at what cost ... and communication will be restored. I am sure that many in Ukraine understand that Russians do not want this (...).
The only thing that annoys me very much is how people who survived it in 2014-2015 now want to survive the rest. I just don't understand this. How can mothers justify the murder of children by killing children here? How can it be in your head in general? What kind of mother are you after that? Maybe this is my radicalism? But I don't understand this.

We checked the documents.
And all.
This is wrong.
