Azerbaijan called the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense that the Azerbaijani army entered the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh and launched strikes from drones "does not reflect reality." The Azerbaijani side denied that it violated the terms of the statement.

The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan escalated in September 2020.
