Ukrainian Victoria Mikhaleva, by the beginning of the “special operation” in Ukraine, was in St. Petersburg with an oncobal child. Readers of "New" helped to find housing, money for food, clothes and transport.
“On three thousand messages - on the phone, mail, facebook*, Instagram*, WhatsApp, Viber - I lost my account. - Victoria even approximately cannot answer the question of how many response from people who want to help them with her son received after publication in the "new". - I sobbed like never in my life. I did not expect that this could be. We have a chance for life. I was offered housing, work, helped financially. A few days ago I did not even have money for panties. Bogdan was welded and brought up so many borscht! When the child ate cutlets with potatoes, he had tears in his eyes. And they also gave him apples, bananas, mangoes, pajamas, t -shirts, jeans, jacket, “Lego” ... ”
The Mikhalevs “New” told the sad story of the Mikhalevs in early March.
Victoria and Bogdan lived in Kherson. Last fall, an eight -year -old boy found a brain tumor. In their homeland, Bogdan could not help, and to save the child, mom had to urgently sell the room in Kherson and go for treatment to Russia. In December, in Moscow, the boy was operated on and sent to proton therapy to St. Petersburg. The news of the beginning of the “special operation” found her mother and son in the hospital two weeks before discharge.

“Where should we go and what to do, I don’t know,” Vika “New” said in despair on March 4. “I can’t return there, and here I have no life.” In Ukraine <...>. How much it lasts is unknown. The boundaries are closed. We are in a foreign country. I have nothing here and nobody. I can’t go to my neighbor and lend 50 hryvnias on bread. I have nothing to live on. The son was appointed rehabilitation in Moscow, but there must be somehow reached there and there, too, somehow exist. ”
The money that Mikhalev transferred to Mikhalev News of Novaya to the road to Moscow and accommodation there for at least two to three months.
The issue of housing in the capital has currently resolved. They were agreed to accept the "good house", a social hotel for cancer patients. Mikhalev was presented so much that her woman plans to transfer part to those in need.
“I am touched to the core that so many people have responded,” says Victoria. - Thank you very much! Thank you for helping us to get to our feet and believe that the world is not without good people. "
In the coming days, Mikhalevs will go to Moscow for rehabilitation and examination. Victoria talks about the distant future with caution, it all depends on the health of my son and on the development of events in Ukraine: “All my life I dreamed of getting abroad. Now I have such a chance to get citizenship, and I want to go home. ”
Bogdan to the question of what he wants the most, answers not to “recover”, but the same as mom: “I want to go home.” Vika cries when he hears this, but does not show her son either tears or videos that she sends her from her hometown. Unlike his mother, Bogdan does not imagine what is happening there now.
It is still unknown how much time the Mikhalevs will stay in Russia and how their life will turn out.
