Zelensky: no compromises regarding the territorial integrity of Ukraine will be

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made a video message following the results of the 34th day of the war. In it, he commented on the results of the new round of peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, held on March 29 in Istanbul.

The signals that we hear from the negotiator can be called positive. But these signals do not drown out the ruptures of Russian shells. Of course, we see all the risks. Of course, we do not see the grounds for trust in the words sounding from certain representatives of the state, which continues to fight for the sake of our destruction. Ukrainians are not naive people. Ukrainians have already learned both of the 34 days of invasion, and over the past eight years of the war in the Donbass, which can only be trusted with a specific result.

Of course, Ukraine is configured for negotiations and will continue the negotiation process to the extent that really depends on us. We count on the result. There should be real security for us, for the state, for sovereignty. The sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine must be guaranteed. There can be no compromises regarding the sovereignty and our territorial integrity. These are clear principles, a clear vision of a possible result.

• According to the results of a meeting in Istanbul, Ukraine put forward a number of proposals on a peace treaty with Russia. In particular, Kyiv offers Moscow for 15 years to conduct bilateral negotiations on the status of Crimea and Sevastopol, while not using the armed forces to resolve the conflict. The issue of Donbass will have to discuss the presidents of the two countries with a separate paragraph.
• Ukraine also announced the readiness to abandon the idea of ​​joining NATO and other alliances in exchange for security guarantees. At the same time, participants in the Ukrainian delegation emphasized that Kiev recognizes only those boundaries of the country in which it was as of 1991.
• In turn, the Russian side, following a meeting in Istanbul, announced that he would radically reduce military activity in the Kiev and Chernihiv directions.
